How To Play Exquisite Corpse Drawing Game

I grew up playing what many people call the Exquisite Corpse drawing game, simply I retrieve we simply called "the drawing game." In the game, a group of people take turns drawing sections of a human trunk, passing the covered drawing to the adjacent person, and adding to the next drawing. I put it in my first book as Combination Human being, the name we give the game in our family unit (I don't care for the proper name Exquisite Corpse).

This game is peachy fun for kids and adults alike and is a good game to play together with immediate or extended family and even friends. Any child who is cartoon people (ages 3 or 4 on up) tin can play this game, although the younger ones may need some coaching on where to outset and finish.

We've played a few rounds of combination man recently and when I realized that I had never shared this game on the blog, I decided now was the fourth dimension.

The Combination Man Drawing Game

( also known as the Exquisite Corpse cartoon game )

MATERIALS

Paper
Pen or pencil

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Each player starts with a piece of paper and a drawing tool and sits so that his or her drawing is somewhat hidden from the person in the next seat. The chemical element of surprise at the end is half the fun!

2. Each person draws a head and neck. This tin be homo, animal, conflicting, robot, whatever. Fold the top of the paper downwardly to conceal your cartoon, letting only the bottom of the neck show. Hand the cartoon to the person to your left.

3. Everyone draws the trunk and arms, using the neck lines as the beginning point. Once more, fold the paper down to conceal your drawing, letting but the bottom of the waist line show. Hand the drawing to the person at your left.

four. Depict from the waist to the knees. Fold the paper down, and laissez passer to the left.

v. Draw from the knees to the feet. Fold the paper and pass once more. (Note :: Sometimes we simply draw from the waist all the way down to the feet, especially with younger kids.)

6. (Optional) Add together a proper noun to the unopened drawing and pass again.

7. Finally, each person unfolds the slice of paper they are property to reveal the funny Combination Human being (woman, brute, etc) that has been created. Take turns sharing the finished drawings.
